DR NARENDRA MALHOTRA completed MBBS and MD (Obstetrics and Gynecology) from AMU, Aligarh. He is motivated to advance in this field because of his passion for work and patient care. In 1987, he began performing endoscopy at Malhotra nursing and midwifery and in 1990 an IUI clinic was established. Malhotra IVF Center was born in 1997. With limited expansion opportunities at the site, they built a brand new multi-specialty facility and Rainbow Hospital commenced operations. in 2013.
Dr Malhotra says there are some common myths regarding infertility in our society. One of the most common causes of infertility is a woman’s problem, when it’s completely untrue. In 35% of cases, it involved a male partner. Another common belief is that getting pregnant late is only a matter of time and you have to keep trying. He says it is important to understand that infertility is a medical condition and should be treated as such. Time is of the essence, he says, because with age, the quality and quantity of eggs produced as well as success rates decrease.
